This Army Officer's Dagger is in Excellent ++ condition with Hangers and Portepee. Model 1935. The total length is 39,8 cm. The Dagger has the maker mark Höller Solingen.
Grip: The grip is a beautiful, orange. The gorgeous pommel has twelve standing oak leaves are as crisp as the day they were stamped, together with the alternating acorns. The wreath has nice, pronounced oak leaves with a fine raised swastika in the center. The reverse of the guard as well as the top of the guard have lots of frosting evident under the black patination.
Blade: The blade is also in Near Mint condition, with all crossgrain and a needle-like tip. This remarkable excellent blade is etched on the reverse with the knight head trademark having the firm's initials and location beneath, “Kölping Solingen”. The leather washer is in place.
Scabbard: The scabbard is just the best. The bands feature overlapping oak leaves, with each leaf having hand enhancement to the veins. The throat is a thicker style, and, as we normally see on those pieces, is retained by one screw.
