This Brannik dagger features a brushed (magnetic) steel blade with an unsharpened edge and a slightly dinged tip. The blade is etched with the Bulgarian equivalent of "Blood and Honour" and is maker-marked on the reverse ricasso.
The thick blackened leather washer at the cross-guard is intact and securely in place. The cross-guard is a numbered, rounded finger guard, with signature black Bakelite grip plates on either side of the handle. The grips are held in place by two zinc rivets, with a red and black painted zinc Brannik logo embedded on the obverse of the grip. The hilt shows light surface marks from period wear.
The scabbard is made of brown-painted steel (magnetic) and shows light wear and some finish loss. Inside the scabbard, two coated metal springs hold the knife securely in place. The leather scabbard hanger is made of thick brown leather and features a snap-button closure to keep the knife securely attached.
Well preserved and rare example.
