This Army Officer's Dagger is in EXC++ condition. Model 1935. The total length is 39.9 cm. The Dagger has the maker mark on the blade: Eickhorn, Solingen. This example has a small stamp, which is rare and usually found on early production models.
Grip: Nice orange colored handle in very good condition. The pommel and crossguard appear to be brass-based, with outstanding heavy silver plating. There hilt pieces are in verynice condition. The crossguard personal engraved “EHK”, probably hand-made by owner. The eagle is most beautiful, typical Eickhorn design. It has no wear and is in beautiful condition. The reverse guard also is in first-rate condition.
Blade: The blade is a beauty, with a needle-like tip and good crossgraining. It also has an interesting trademark. It features the famous squirrel, with the firm's name. The original, tan blade washer is in place and in good condition.
Scabbard: This scabbard is straight and has nice silver plating. The throat is retained by one side-screws.
