A M1937 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger (Fliegerdolch) by Peter Daniel Krebs of Solingen. The extra cost artificial Damascus blade on this one looks great! Look how dark and crisp this is, stunning! The acid etched maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed! It has a perfect tip and perfect fit. The blade on this one rates mint. The blue pebbled leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based "airplane grey" plated scabbard looks good with 99% plating remaining. It depicts good details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. it retains its' throat retaining screw. It has nicely aged and patinaed with time. The zinc based eagle crossguard, steel ferrule and zinc pommel all look good! The eagle has good detail to its head, feathers, wings and top oakleaves. The brass springy type wire wrap remains tightly intact.

The originality is confirmed by the expertise of Ralf Siegert, a well known expert in the field of Third Reich edged weapons.

A rarely seen variant.
