Modell 1938 Bahnschutz Dolch (2nd Model) by Carl Eickhorn of Solingen in Mint condition. The blade on this one looks perfectly. The acid etched squirrel “Original Eickhorn Solingen” maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed. The crossgrain is gorgeous, running the full length of the blade and is easily visible as you shine it in the light. The tip comes to a sharp point and the fit is nice and tight. The original brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The scabbard has beautifully aged. It remains completely dent free. This variant has the thick throat with the single reverse retaining screw. The railway winged wheel crossguard is beautifully detailed with gorgeous detail throughout. The scabbard, crossguard, ferrule pommel cap and top are all non-magnetic and featuring perfectly matching shining throughout. The black bakelite grip is in near mint condition. One small traces of wear. It's a real treat when you see the lacquered finish hold up the silvering to the crevasses. A gorgeous piece.
