THE GRIP Is made of white plastic incised in lateral grooves along which it is wound around with twisted brass wire; the pommel represents a stylized naval knot. Below, there is an ornamented sleeve forming a single whole with the crosspiece

THE CROSSGUARD is shaped as two stylized representa-Lions of sea snakes, there falls twisted Into opposite directions.

The middle part bears a representation of a shell. The reverse holds a swilch of the spring-loaded latch securing the weapon Inside the scabbard. All parts of the hilt are made of brass.

THE BLADE Is straight, thomble in cross-section without grooves, smoothly narrowing down towards the tip, and nickel. coated. It could be ornamented with an etched floral ornament and a representation of a propeller.

Blade width: 19 mm.

Total length: 390 mm.

Total length with the scabbard: 400 mm.

THE SCABBARD Is made of brass, its front is ornamented with a pattern depicting fine scales. In its upper part, there are tive Imitated brackets covered with a floral ornament. Hetween them, there is a representation of'a propeller. The bottom part of the scabbard is left smooth the tip is provided with a spherical summit. There are two mobile suspension rings.

SUSPENSION WEBBING consists of two bands having ditfering length; there is no more specific information concerning its outlook.

WRIST LOOP existed, but there is no available information concerning its outlook.

Such daggers were carried by all Romanian Air Force officers since 1923 through approximately 1930.
