SS service dagger in late production, manufactured according to the regulations of the Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM). The blade bears the marking “RZM 1196/38 SS”, attributed to Ed. Wüsthof Dreizackwerk, Solingen. The piece is offered together with a matching leather hanger .
Ebony grip fitted with the SS runes and the national eagle. Both insignia are period-correct and clamped from the inside. Overall, the grip presents as a coherent example fully in keeping with the late production period.
Bright steel blade in clean condition, free of nicks. On the front is the SS motto “Meine Ehre heißt Treue”. The reverse bears the RZM marking “RZM 1196/38 SS” for Ed. Wüsthof Dreizackwerk, Solingen. The blade shoulders fit precisely against the lower crossguard.
Iron scabbard with original paint, still preserved to approximately 95%. The two fittings are made of nickel-plated sheet steel and are each secured laterally with two screws. Overall, a very attractive configuration fully consistent with the late-production period.
Black leather hanger in matching configuration. Marked RZM M5/25. A fitting suspension piece that complements the dagger well and makes the set especially appealing to collectors.
