The dagger has double-sided etched blade showing fire brigade motifs and ornaments. "Carl Eickhorn, Solingen" maker marked. 
Black leather-covered wooden grip with gilt wire wrapping. Silver-plated handle fittings. The crossguard bears the fire brigade emblem in the center. Black leather scabbard with silver-plated fittings. It has some dents.
